Tell Your Story

Speak at an Upcoming Event

This isn't just an invitation. It's a professional development opportunity. In addition to providing you a platform to tell your story, we offer free public speaking coaching from trained and practiced storytellers.

If you'd like to be a speaker/storyteller at one of our upcoming events, email OneVoice Coordinator Nyah Vanterpool at onejax.vanterpool@unf.edu with a short description of the story/perspective you'd like to share.

Submit to the Blog

There's more than one way to be heard. If you'd like to share your story, perspective, or point in writing, submit a blog article by emailing onejax.vanterpool@unf.edu.

Your blog submission does not have to relate to the upcoming event topic, but must relate to a social justice issue that impacts Jacksonville. Attached Word documents are preferred but not required.

Record Your Story

At the end of the day, civil discourse is about human-to-human dialogue. We can take the art of conversation to another level by recording an interview. If you'd like to share your story via an audio recorded and posted interview, email onejax.vanterpool@unf.edu with a short description of the story/perspective you'd like to share.

OneVoice wants to see you grow as a civil leader. We seek to help you 1) better understand where you are in relationship to an issue, 2) recognize that you have something important to say, 3) overcome the fear of saying it, and 4) provide you the platform to be heard. Here are just a few ways to share your unique story.
